I am a Tax Resolutions Partner at Crowe U.K. LLP with over 30 years’ experience. I regularly write on tax investigations topics in technical books, the professional, national and local press. I also lecture at tax conferences in the UK and overseas on investigations, disclosures, HMRC’s powers and taxpayer rights.

I cover all aspects of tax resolutions including fraud, HMRC challenges under self-assessment, disputes with HMRC on powers, assessments and penalties, professional negligence cases concerning tax,  disclosures to HMRC and expert witness work relating to tax matters.

I am a Fellow of the ICAEW and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, deputy chairman of the ICAEW Compliance and Investigations Committee and a member of the  Management of Taxes Committee at the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
