Having been involved in HMRC investigations and disputes, both in practice and formerly in HMRC, for over 37 years, Gary is routinely sought out as a “go to” advisor in such matters.
Having established, built and then sold his business, Independent Tax, he was proud to see that business establish itself as one of the UK’s most noted tax dispute “boutiques”.
Following his sale of Independent Tax, Gary is now a freelance consultant providing public speaking, presentations, coaching and mentoring support to accountancy practices in how to deal with HMRC matters, and with a particular focus on allowing practises to “upskill” their own staff to feel confident with HMRC disputes.
