If advice is taxpayer-specific it may be given in writing, over the telephone or possibly face-to-face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>HMRC has published guidance on its website, entitled \u2018How HMRC advice and information can help you \u2019(<a href=\"https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/mpxxjmbj\">https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/mpxxjmbj<\/a>). It states that HMRC\u2019s published information and guidance may not always give the taxpayer a definitive answer.
